Hi Mama! You are 11 weeks pregnant and should start to see some relief to your nausea and vomiting as you come to the end of your first trimester! Additionally, your energy levels should slowly increase. Pregnancy isn’t always easy, but as you finish this first trimester, look back and see some beautiful memories that you made along the way. Continue to remind yourself of your body’s capabilities, strength, and resilience. At this point in the pregnancy, you may feel very overwhelmed as you start to do research and learn about pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, parenting, babies, etc. You may be overloaded with the amount of opinions and information available. It is expected to feel this way, and it is good that you are researching. Remember that you can’t know it all and don’t need to. Many things you will learn as you go. If you find yourself stressed about all the information, limit the amount of time and avenues of research you are doing. Limit the social media accounts you are following and stick with some helpful ones. Find reliable and evidenced-based content, or talk to your healthcare professional who can link you with trustworthy resources.
Your baby is 11 weeks, and this week is starting to build up the muscles necessary for breathing outside the womb. Her vocal cords are also present, though she won’t be able to make a sound until she breathes for the first time. Your baby is still so tiny but has developed so much! The heart is beating, the lungs are taking shape, and already your little one is practicing breathing in and out. Tooth buds also appear, and soon, your little one will have two rows of teeth hiding in her gums.
