You’ve made it to 33 weeks! No doubt many of you are feeling the weight of the pregnancy, especially in your lower back. The fatigue from the sleepless nights is getting to you, and you are in varying degrees of pain. The pregnancy hormones are making you feel less and less like yourself. Have grace for yourself and place a priority on balancing rest and activity. Remember that these symptoms disappear after birth, and you will feel like yourself again. Some women tend to compare themselves and their journey to that of others especially when others look like they are progressing through pregnancy smoothly. Everybody’s pregnancy journey is unique and you, you are strong, capable and beautiful. You can do this!
Your baby is 33 weeks! Up until this point in the pregnancy, your baby has been moving and spinning and changing positions constantly. Now, you will start to notice a shift and see more consistency in the areas of movement. Your baby should also turn head down around this time and settle into the position he will be at birth. Your baby’s kicks will feel quite strong at this point and may cause added discomfort if your baby presses on the bladder or up into your ribs. Make sure to pee regularly and change positions often during the day if your baby is painfully pushing in one spot.
